Starting out with manual focus Canon SLR cameras, I began taking more than just snapshots in 1980. In 1994, I switched to a Canon autofocus film camera system. In addition, I have been using a rangefinder Contax G system with interchangeable fixed focal length lenses. With the introduction of Canon D30 in 2000, I started capturing images digitally. My affection towards a rangefinder system made me get a Leica M8, the first digital M in November 2006 and Leica M9 in Decemmber 2009. I am shooting exclusively "digital" now; I really enjoy the instant gratification a digital system offers and I feel that not only we can be creative in the image capturing aspect but we can be creative in the "darkroom" aspect as well.
Fast forward to the end of 2014 when I first got the taste of a full frame mirrorless system, a Sony A7r. I bought an A7s for low light conditions, an A7 II to take advantage of the IBIS. One thing led to the other, I used a Sony A7r II as my exclusive universal camera and relegate my Canon 7D II and long lenses for wildlife starting in 2015. And in the later part of 2015, I started using Sony camera body exclusively, including an A9 for wildlife with adapted long Canon lenses.
Enjoy the images and feel free to drop a line, or two. Thank you!
