A very unique camera with excellent build quality. The 16:9 aspect sensor coupled with a wide-angle lens opens up new possibilities for composing photos. Handling is also excellent: changing settings is quick and intuitive. The LX1´s lens is very sharp, even in the corners. Personally, I find image noise at ISO 80/100 not to be an issue. At ISO 200, it depends very much on the type of photo you are trying to take. ISO 400 is, in my opinion, barely usable.

Great little camera. Shoots RAW and has an amazingly fast shutter response and features. Only issue is noise at all ISOs. Shooting RAW helps as does using Noise Ninja. With a little work you can coax great images from this camera. Files, like most Panasonics, are very film-like.
