Jim form DPreview. Your wedding was great. I like natural shots and not the ole studio look. That white hair is tough. Try partial metering only on face. that might cut down the glare even though I did not find it that bad.

Thank you for visiting my galleries and for the kind words regarding my flower macros. With regard to my Phoenix macro lens I must admit that I only bought it to take macro pics with until I saved up enough money to buy the Canon 180mm macro lens. Because of the price I wasn't expecting much, however, after taking a few shots with it I was absolutely floored by the better-than-expected results. Granted, it is cheaply made and almost feels like it would break if I look at it the wrong way but I've decided to continue using it and not get the other macro lens. All in all, I'm glad I bought it.

This is the best tutorial I have read on how to make your own 3D frames. It is also good just to get a basic understanding of framing in Photoshop:

Lisa, your gallery is wonderful. Can you tell me how you make your frames around your photos? with the shadow? Thank you for your help. Greg.

Returning to photography with a Sony DSC F707 after 40 years in engineering, I am using automatic ink feeding on my Epson 1520 but would like to have your quality of print, color, lighting etc. Please tell me your camera model, and lenses used, as well as your lighting techniques in general, and digital manipulation software for which you are processig TIF? images. I'm using PhotoShop but there are better programs for specific cameras, most of them Canons, but not this Sony.

My success with the 707 will improve if I have a good macro and macro lighting, and learn to use reflectors and depend on fewer corrections to the final product. Your reply would help a great deal in that your lighting techniques, color rendition and framed presentations would be my nirvana.

I am currently a member of Triad Outdoor Photography (TOP's) in Greensboro, NC, and found your site thru our members. How many years have you been doing digital and what kind of training have you had? Which photos would you consider your best work and why. How do you get the brilliance of a slide in your work?.....thanks...Kazy

Hi Lisa--just wanted to thank you for stopping by my galleries today! I appreciated your comments--and, since I always visit the sites of anyone who leaves comments--it gave me a chance to revisit your galleries--and be reminded of how much I enjoy your work! :-) (Oh--you're on my list of "favorites"--but it's getting to be a longer list, all the time--so it's nice to be reminded of the individuals on it! :-))

Thanks again!

Hi Lisa,

I saw your post on the Sony forum on DP Review in January about wanting to print a panorama on the Epson 785EPX.

I have the same printer, and I now have mastered printing panoramas on roll paper. The 785EPX will handle 8.3 inch rolls that come in 10 meter (33 foot) lengths. I have a print I made of my second panorama that's 8" high by 60" long.

If you are still looking for answers to how to do it, drop me a line.

Hi Lisa I see your name in the forums helping out people like myself and others. Thanks for taking the time! I enjoyed your galleries as much as I had time to view them. I have the Oly 720UZ and decided that the low light focus handicap was more than I wanted to deal with. So I went and got the 717. Man what a camera. I have taken a few blurry pics with it but I think it is the 1-d-10-t behind the camera. Once I get the tcon I will really be taking some photos and the 8x optical of the c720 will be a distant memory. Have a great day and keep shooting

Hi,

read your comments on DPreview. I own the sony too, and i am not so pleased with the overexposure issue.....
the promaster has a fill in flash which probably explains better and more even exposure.
I read some people use a kind of self made plastic to diminish the amount of light on the sony flash. With bouncing in a smaal room I had some excellent results, BUT they are not consistent

Question about the promaster and the Sony Module : how does it look like?
and more important: does this combination really really provide TTL
